MECHANICAL ENGINEERING AND MANUFACTURING DEPARTMENT  

The Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing Department (ME&M) takes in all built structure and moving parts flown in space develops the mechanical structures and harness for satellites, control system design, sensors and actuators development for satellites. ME&M in addition develops robotics types and application in space technology, designs, models and rapid prototyping of satellite propulsion system, liquid engine and propellant system. It also designs thermal, analysis and implementation for satellites.

The department is made up of three divisions; Structures and Mechanism, Dynamics and Control as well as Mechanical Services.

Engr. (Dr.) Yusuf Olatunbosun Tafa is currently heading the Department.
