The Director/CEO of the centre heads the Directorate division; the division is comprised of these units:
• Technical Assistant
• Total technology quality control (TTQC)
• System Engineering
• Maintenance/ Information technology
• Media and Protocol
The directorate division coordinate the activities of the other divisions of the centre thereby, all head of divisions report directly to the director. The division is creating, communicating, and implementing the organization’s vision, mission, and overall direction. Leading the development and implementation of the overall centre’s strategy. It oversees the complete operation of the centre in accordance with the direction established in the strategic plans.
Other Management Staff
Engr. Tamunopekerebia Orisowubo is an alumnus of the University of Port Harcourt, where he obtained a B.ENG in Electrical / Electronic Engineering. He also holds a Masters Degree in Satellite Engineering from the University of Surrey, U.K. He was among the engineers who participated in SSTL’s Know-How Transfer and Training Programme in United Kingdom from 2001 – 2003, specializing on ‘on-board computers’. He also received Flight Hardware Soldering Training and earned a European Space Agency [ECSS-Q-70-80A (E01)] certificate. Engr. Orisowubo joined the Centre for Satellite Technology Development in 2001 and was among the engineers and scientists sent by CSTD to Surrey Satellite Technology Limited in United Kingdom for the Know-How Transfer and Training Programme. He was the team leader of Nigeria-sat-2 and Sat-x programme between 2009-2012. He is the former head of the Ground Receiving Station that housed Nigeria-Sat- 1, Nigeria-Sat-2, and Sat-X. He is currently a deputy Director and the Head of Training and Collaboration Unit of the centre. He is also a member of various professional bodies including Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE).
Niyi F. IWALOYE is currently the Deputy Director Accounts. He studied Finance and earned a Bachelor Degree at the University of Ilorin, Nigeria in 1994. He later trained and qualified as a chartered Accountant and Chartered tax practitioner. After years of practising accountancy and financial management in the private sector, he joined NASRDA in 2004 to provide leadership for the Account and Finance team of the Agency and thus revolutionized public sector accountancy practices of the Organisation. Until his present appointment he had served and set up accounting system in another centre of the Agency. He is Fellow in the Chartered Institute of Accountant of Nigeria and an Associate of Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria. He is Currently the Head of Account.
Engr. Madalla Fidelis Yuntoe attended Ahmadu Bello University, where he obtained his B. ENG in Metallurgical Engineering. He later proceeded to study Spacecraft Propulsion Systems/SSC at the University of Surrey, where he obtained SSTL/KHTT Certificate .His rich experience in engineering were garnered, when he particularly went to obtain ESA PSCS 01-738, Spacecraft Soldering Inspectors Certificate and MSc. Satellite Engineering in Highbury College Portsmouth UK and University of Surrey Guildford, UK respectively. He has served as a member of numerous committees since he joined NASRDA in 2001. He was a member and welfare officer for the first team of Nigerian engineers to design, build, assemble, integrate, test and lunch the first Nigeria’s indigenous satellite – SAT X. He was also a member of the launch campaign team for the final checks and integration of Nigeria SAT 2 and X on the Dnepre Launch vehicle. He is currently the Head, Propulsion And Aeronautics Unit, he is also the Deputy project manager/Head structural and Mechanism unit AITC/DC project and Chief Engineer with Centre for satellite Technology Development ( CSTD) National Space Research and Development Agency.
